Mercury Series Gas Cell
Mercury Series Gas Cells

Mercury cells are single-pass gas absorption cells that are constructed of the highest quality materials chosen for their inertness, corrosion resistance, and compatibility with highly concentrated gas mixtures. Sample mixtrures which are rich in concentration, like those used in semiconductor manufacturing or other demanding industrial mixtures are routinely measured at short pathlengths using FTIR.

Any of the gas cells can be configured with a standard sample compartment base plate, and in addition, can have the insulating purge connections which extend to the side of the FTIR sample compartment.

Mercury Series Gas Cells suitable for specialty gas analysis at short pathlengths are available in variety of different configurations depending on the needs of the user. Avaliable at 1cm, 5cm, 10cm, and 15cm, the cells can be configured with or without base plates, heaters, or with any number of different IR windows.

For extreme-duty applications Mercury Series single-pass cells can be supplied complete with heaters and temperature controllers for high temperature operation up to 200 degrees centigrade, and are also available with purgeable mounting fixtures for interfacing with commercial FTIR spectrometers. Suitable for application in the most demanding and hostile environments, extreme-duty Mercury gas cells have welded VCR sample line connections and telescoping purge tubes that couple with the spectrometer bulkhead for sealed or Nitrogen-purged systems. Sample line connections are made only with the highest industry-standard valves and fittings.
